November 3rd - The 68th School Anniversary of Tamkang University at the Lanyang Campus (News Report)
To celebrate the anniversary of Tamkang University, at the Lanyang Campus a celebration party was held on the hallway before the library where many performances contributed by student clubs were presented. The event, starting from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on November 3rd., was hosted by the Student Association of Lanyang Administrative Center on November 3rd.
Two students from the Department of Innovative Information and Technology and the Department of English Language and Culture served as the emcees for the event. At the beginning of the event, the emcees introduced the honorable guests in both Mandarin and English and invited the vice president at the Lanyang Campus, Mr. Lin, to give the opening address. Mr. Lin firstly expressed gratitude to teachers and students at the Lanyang Campus for their hard work and contribution, making the Lanyang Campus a good and wonderful learning environment. In the past 14 years, the Lanyang Campus has featured an education system that includes "three-alls", all-in-English lectures, all study-abroad for juniors, and all student housing, and has been growing prosperously. It's wonderful to see the turnout at such an event. We wish Tamkang University a Happy Birthday! Thank you. The Provost of College of Global Development, Mr. Pao, was also grateful for the active participation of all students. It was the 68th birthday for the Tamsui Campus while it's the 14th birthday for the Lanyang Campus. It is hoped that with the cooperation and contribution of teachers and students, the Lanyang Campus will become better and better. At the event, everyone had a blast and wished the school prosper and flourish for good.
Although the weather was not cooperative, all the teachers and students had fun watching the performances contributed by many student clubs. While they were watching the performances, they were also able to savor different types of gourmet meals or play miscellaneous games in the hallway. All the performances and the stalls were all closed as the event came to an end at 2:00 p.m.
